Seton Legacy Garden
 The Seton Legacy Garden honors the bicentennial of the foundation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Joseph’s in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The garden is planned as beautiful pathways that extend behind Saint Elizabeth Ann’s first permanent home in Saint Joseph’s Valley. These pathways draw you to areas of reflection where quotes of Saint Elizabeth Ann are inscribed on bricks, pavers, benches, and markers.

As Seton legacy continues, the Seton Legacy Garden will beautify Saint Elizabeth Ann’s holy grounds and serve as a place of prayer for our guests and visitors for decades to come.
The walkways and reflection areas offer a lasting and memorable opportunity to commemorate a significant milestone, celebrate a special occasion, or honor the memory of a loved one.
There are several ways for you and your loved ones to become a part of this permanent legacy. To engrave your wishes, you may choose a brick (6” x 9”), a granite paver (12” x 12”), or a granite bench. All of these memorial options can be inscribed according to your individual request.
You may place your order by printing our brochure and sending your check in the mail, or by ordering online below. Once your order is received, you will receive an acknowledgement letter for your tax files.
For an additional $20 per item you may request a special designated location of your garden brick or paver. Complete the form when sending us your order and payment.

Development Timeline
As of October 14, 2009, the second phase of inscriptions is now complete. You should be able to find the location of your garden memorial item.
Bricks and pavers may be purchased at any time. However, inscriptions will be scheduled at intervals or when a minimum number of items are purchased. If you have purchased an item and don't see it on the brick finder program, our Donor Relations Office will be happy to check the database. Please call 301-447-7080, or email development@doc.org.
